Sourced from cooler (both literally cool, and just cool) sites in Santa Barbara County. The resulting wine is mega savory and seriously, I think the best value Syrah that I've tasted in a long time- for whatever that's worth. We submitted it to the big wine critics and it scored well. Not like it really matters, but czech these notes: "The 2015 Syrah is dark, bold and gamy, with tons of intensity and cool-climate spice. Firm tannins support a core of pungent fruit, giving the wine much of its energy and drive. There is plenty to like here. The 2015 was done with 15% whole clusters and aged in neutral oak. Municipal's 2015 Syrah is a superb value, especially for a wine made from such pedigreed sites."
